Software Development Engineer, Simulation Foundations

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit, aiming to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. The Software Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and operating globally available distributed systems to support Kuiper's operations within realistic virtual environments at scale.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Building systems using the latest AWS technologies
• Designing and Implementing Distributed Cloud-based Services and APIs
• Inventing new tools for software deployment, test execution, and data analysis
• Developing tools for test execution across multiple environments
• Evangelizing engineering excellence best practices and mentoring junior engineers
