Security Engineer, WWPS Solutions Architecture

Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Security Engineer for the Controlled Working Environment program, requiring a deep understanding of balancing business and technical risks.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree or 3+ year's equivalent technology experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in incident response, application security, network security, security operations, or network engineering
• Experience using SIEMs, especially ElasticSearch
• Experience with security operations of Window and Linux operating system environments
• Experience working with AWS security services
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents and prevent future occurrences
• Design cohesive responses to security events involving multiple teams
• Build security utilities and tools for high-speed operations
• Evaluate impact of security threats and coordinate risk mitigation
• Communicate effectively at different levels
• Instill best practices of security engineering
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities
