Data Engineer

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is looking for Data Engineers to help grow their Data Lake and Data Warehouse Systems using a serverless architecture with native AWS components.

Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience working on and delivering end-to-end projects independently
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated ETL pipelines using scripting languages such as Python, Spark, SQL, and AWS services
• Implement and support reporting and analytics infrastructure for internal business customers
• Develop and maintain data security and permissions solutions for enterprise-scale data warehouse and data lake implementations
• Develop data objects for business analytics using data modeling techniques
• Develop and optimize data warehouse and data lake tables
• Develop and maintain data warehouse and data lake metadata, data catalogs, and user documentation
• Work with internal business customers and software development teams to gather and document requirements for data publishing and data consumption
