Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join the Data Center Engineering Operations Team. The role involves maintaining critical physical infrastructure that supports Amazon Web Services, ensuring MEP operates at 100% availability, and overseeing electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment in data centers.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in a relevant field (electrical, mechanical)
• 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Management and leadership of DCEO Engineering Team
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance
• Oversee operation and management of critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, etc
• Data Center capacity planning and reporting
• Asset and inventory management
• Respond to out of hours emergency calls and be the primary on-call escalation point for Data Center facilities related issues
• Training and development of EOTs including night shift personnel
