Controls Engineer

Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring the cloud runs smoothly for customers.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering fields with 5 years of Controls related experience; or Associates degree with 7 years of experience; or High School diploma with 10 years of experience.
• Experience with industrial controls in critical environments.
• 2+ years in Controls or Electrical construction project coordination.
• Experience designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting HVAC Controls and Electrical SCADA systems applications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule of BMS and EPMS vendors during construction of AWS data centers.
• Develop scope of work for site improvement projects.
• Review controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to design.
• Financially manage BMS and EPMS construction contracts.
• Participate in AWS global on-call schedule to provide immediate BMS and EPMS technical support.
• Attend project related meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and report status to Controls Management.
• Interpret controls drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Support Controls related Commissioning activities in the field.
