Operations Engineer I

Job Description

The AWS Intelligence team is seeking highly motivated engineers who are focused on operational excellence and troubleshooting complex system operations to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
• 1-3 years of experience with Systems Administration in Linux/Unix
• 1-3 years of experience with Networking (TCP/IP, DNS)
• Candidate selected be a US Citizen and have an active secret or top secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Operate the Managed Service platform and collaborate with internal service teams
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive root cause analysis
• Collaborate and help build utilities and tools for internal use
• Act as an escalation point and mentor to less experienced engineers
• Drive customer communication during critical events
