Electrical Engineer (Power)

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Power Engineer to work on specifying and integrating power supplies and batteries within industrial automation products.

Requirements

• Experience with prototyping and implementation
• 5+ years of experience designing electrical connections inside industrial electrical AC/DC and DC/DC cabinets
• Extensive system design interfacing to electro-mechanical subsystems
• Ability to lead a technical team
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design Industrial Electrical Control Panel schematics
• Review specifications and schematics for compliance with safety standards
• Work with interdisciplinary team to execute product designs
• Specify, Integrate and Deploy power supplies in industrial automation equipment
• Specify, Integrate and Deploy batteries and super-capacitors in industrial automation systems
• Ensure power system specifications meet customer needs and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate activities within the engineering discipline for projects
• Establish development processes to meet industry standards for control systems
• Support product releases and customer deployments
