Operations Engineer, Robotics

Job Description

As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will lead and manage cross-functional projects to develop and deliver automation and material handling solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
• 4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation
• Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
• Experience supporting deployment of new product/technology and/or large material handling and automation installations in a construction environment

Responsibilities

• Work independently with internal and external teams to manage challenging projects
• Participate in engineering reviews and impact proposed solutions
• Partner with teams to set priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules
• Lead execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs
• Lead effective meetings, document discussions, and communicate project status
• Articulate system and/or equipment designs to internal customers and partner teams
• Support change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validation/approvals
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
• Travel domestically up to 75%
