Industrial Design Engineer, R2L

Job Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced Industrial Designer to join the Design Engineering team to support the rapid expansion of Rural Delivery and Sub Same Day delivery by designing and optimizing delivery and sortation networks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industrial and operations background
• 4+ years of engineering experience in industrial, logistics, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, architectural, robotics, production environment
• Expert in AutoCAD, REVIT or any other CAD program
• Dealing with ambiguity, data analysis and analytical skills
• Experience in solution optimization, value engineering, best fit analysis (design and data), process development

Responsibilities

• Work with key stakeholders on the criteria for design and expansion
• Develop design and analytical models to show feasibility and operational cost of design
• Implement design process with an aim to articulate operational and safety criteria in design development
• Review existing designs to identify value engineering opportunities and optimization
• Communicate project with all stakeholders via project management tools
• Train and articulate standards across cross functional teams
• Travel 25% of the time
