Security Engineer, Payments Security

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Security Engineer to protect its foundational systems and products in Payments Security, focusing on securing the ecosystem that processes millions of transactions daily.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, and network security experience
• Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
• Experience driving multiple technically complex security initiatives

Responsibilities

• Owning end-to-end security of the business
• Performing security reviews including secure design and architecture, threat modeling, secure code reviews, security testing, and security certifications
• Identifying security gaps in applications, services, or products
• Communicating findings to relevant stakeholders and driving mitigation
• Developing security automation and secure-by-default solutions
• Leading security initiatives with end-to-end ownership
• Supporting mentoring, team building, recruiting, and onboarding activities
