Software Dev Engineer, Kuiper

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide broadband connectivity to unserved communities worldwide. This role involves designing and deploying embedded software for terrestrial products.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with Embedded Linux, RTOS or bare metal firmware
• Strong programming skills in C/C++/Rust

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for terrestrial devices within the Project Kuiper system
• Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage
• Collaborate with engineers across the org to design, develop, deploy, and operate solution pipelines
• Participate in initiatives building and scaling the ground gateway products
• Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring system health
• Engineer and build solutions for managing ground gateway stations
