Job Description

The Middle-Midle Transportation Technology team at Amazon is looking for a Software Development Engineer to work on NP Hard problems/Algorithms in the middle-mile network, optimizing freight movements and transportation systems globally.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design transportation solutions for scalability across various Amazon business verticals
• Build distributed systems focusing on operator and customer experience
• Maintain high standards in software development, including code quality and tech debt reduction
• Mentor junior engineers in designing and building scalable software
• Influence technical strategy and architectural decisions within the team and partner teams
• Contribute to operational and engineering excellence through code reviews, ticket resolution, and infrastructure improvements
• Collaborate with product owners to ensure long-term goals are not compromised for short-term gains
