Data Center Controls Engineer

Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers and ensuring continuous access to innovation for customers. They are seeking talented individuals to join their diverse team of experts.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering fields with 3+ years of Controls experience; or Associates degree with 5 years of experience; or High School diploma with 8 years of experience
• Experience with industrial controls in critical environments
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in Controls or Electrical construction project coordination
• Experience with TCP/IP, MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS communication protocols
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis for BMS and EPMS issues in AWS data centers
• Train and assist internal customers with BMS and EPMS systems
• Review and resolve maintenance results and action items
• Develop project scope, schedule, and budget for BMS and EPMS projects
• Manage project execution and procurement activities
• Participate in global on-call schedule for BMS and EPMS technical support
• Attend project meetings, coordinate with leaders, and report project status
• Support commissioning activities in data centers
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces
• Financially manage service contracts
• Visit in-operation data centers for troubleshooting and compliance supervision
