Senior Hardware Engineer, NPD Hardware

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking an experienced hardware engineering professional to help build next-generation networking platforms for Amazon Web Services' Network Products Development team.

Requirements

• BSEE with 10+ years experience in hardware board and systems development
• Experience in motherboard design, PCB design, schematic capture, stackup, and circuit board layout
• Experience with Ethernet switching fabrics, Ethernet PHY and SerDes interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 memory design, network processors, I2C, USB
• Experience in CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog
• Experience in high-speed PCB design and AC/DC PI
• Experience with project and technical leadership, program management
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and outside vendors, especially Asian CMs and ODM/JDM partners

Responsibilities

• Design and develop next-generation Ethernet switching platforms for datacenters
• Lead high-speed digital design projects in the networking field
• Define and design modular chassis-based products
• Collaborate with PCB designers, testing, and transitioning to manufacturing
• Participate in simulation, timing analysis, thermal analysis, and EMC testing
