Principal Engineer, AWS Hardware Engineering

Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering team is looking for a Principal Engineer to help drive technical standards, architecture, and design for server technologies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in server technologies, including: electrical, mechanical, thermal, and software.
• 8+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
• Experience developing and operating hardware at scale.

Responsibilities

• Establish technical standards and drive Amazon’s technical architecture.
• Work on building high quality, architecturally sound systems aligned with business needs.
• Think globally to ensure high performing, scalable systems for Amazon.com.
