Job Description

AWS is seeking an ASIC Physical Design Engineer to join the Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role involves working on the design and optimization of hardware in data centers, including AWS Inferentia and Trainium Systems.

Requirements

• BS + 4yrs or MS + 3yrs in EE/CS
• 4+ years in ASIC Physical Design
• Deep understanding of sign-off activities
• Scripting experience with Tcl, Perl or Python

Responsibilities

• Drive physical design closure through synthesis, floor planning, place and route, etc.
• Develop physical design methodologies
• Evaluate 3rd party IP and provide recommendations
• Collaborate with other teams and mentor junior engineers
