Security Engineer, WWPS Solutions Architecture

Job Description

Amazon Web Services is looking for a security focused Engineer for the Controlled Working Environment (CWE) program. The Security Engineer will expand the Security Operating Center (SOC) and maintain security compliance in the working environment.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree or 3+ year's equivalent technology experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in incident response, application security, network security, security operations, or network engineering, with at least two years of experience on a Security Operations team
• Experience using industry-standard SIEMs, especially ElasticSearch
• Experience with security operations of Window and Linux operating system (OS) environments
• Experience working with AWS security services
• U.S. citizenship

Responsibilities

• Confidently and intelligently respond to security incidents
• Design and coordinate cohesive responses to security events
• Build security utilities and tools to enable high-speed operations
• Evaluate the impact of current security threats and advisories
• Communicate effectively at different levels of sensitivity and knowledge
• Fulfill regular on-call responsibilities
