Hardware Validation Engineer, NPD Hardware

Join the AWS Infrastructure Services team to help design, plan, deliver, and operate all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continual access to innovation for customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
• 5+ years experience of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems
• Experience performing PCB schematic and layout reviews to ensure specification compliance
• Knowledge of Power and thermal design and validation
• Experience performing hardware validation, including high-speed I/O, low-speed I/O, voltage regulator and evaluating results

Responsibilities

• Develop automated tools and standardized validation test plans for high-volume Switch System level testing
• Lead collaborative efforts to establish robust testing frameworks and quality assurance procedures for switch platforms
• Analyze and interpret data from validation tests, offering insights and recommendations
• Support new product introduction and Sustaining engineering including Second source qualification, cost down design validation and manufacturing efficiencies
• Work with network operations team in identifying operation issues and improving quality and RMA process
