Robotics Control Engineer, Amazon Robotics

Job Description

Join Amazon Robotics team to work on high-performance, real-time robotic systems at Amazon scale, enabling robots to interact intelligently with real-world fulfillment centers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing production motion control systems for robotics or industrial automation
• 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems
• BS / MS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar field)
• Experience with C++, CodeSys, Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, or similar
• Knowledge of Version Control GIT
• Working knowledge of IEC standards for programming controls for robotics
• Demonstrated experience with Functional Safety standards
• Solid debugging skills and ability to diagnose and solve problems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, simplify, and continuously improve system controls architecture
• Develop controls code utilizing structured text on Codesys platforms
• Identify and implement system optimizations
• Work closely with hardware and software engineering team members
• Launch, test, and debug systems in lab and field
• Develop tools and best practices for system monitoring
• Contribute to value engineering of system's electrical and controls hardware components
