Job Description

Lead technical role at Amazon's Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging team focusing on designing and implementing automation solutions for efficient package delivery to customers worldwide.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of designing and architecting distributed systems
• Deep knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
• Strong experience programming with multiple Object Oriented software programming languages
• Advanced knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Go, or Rust
• Extensive experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive operational excellence initiatives by designing and implementing automation solutions
• Architect systems that are robust, scalable, maintainable and adaptable for future growth
• Design and build critical infrastructure, tools and operating procedures to ensure reliability of ground infrastructure
• Lead integration efforts with existing systems and establish best practices for system interactions
• Define and implement metrics for measuring system performance and availability
• Lead critical incident response and drive systematic improvements to prevent future issues
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development of the team
