Senior Electrical Engineer, Amazon Robotics

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to work on system design, implementation, and release to manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system design, analog and digital circuit design, possess good communication skills, and have the ability to lead a team of Electrical Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
• 10+ years of experience in electrical, firmware, and system level design
• Experience with FPGAs, VHDL, microcontrollers, microprocessors, and mixed-signal designs
• Experience with serial communication interfaces (CAN, SPI, Ethernet, etc)

Responsibilities

• Execute product designs from concept to production including design, prototyping, validation, testing, and certification
• Lead and support a technical team on multiple projects in parallel
• Coordinate all activities within the engineering discipline for the project
• Ensure coordination with other disciplines is effective for each project
• Architect, design, and implement complex embedded systems, analog and digital circuit design, and systems debugging
• Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments
• Establish development processes to meet industry standards for functionally safe control systems (IEC 61508)
