Mechanical Engineer, Amazon Robotics (AR)

Job Description

Amazon Robotics is looking for a Hardware Development Engineer to join their smart and collaborative team, applying leading edge advances in robotics and software to solve real-world challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Hands-on experience crafting and evaluating proof-of-concept models and prototypes
• Thorough understanding of principles, theories, and concepts in mechanical engineering and their application to product design

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute product designs from concept to production
• Work with Ergo, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commodity organizations, as well as vendors, to ensure a smooth product launch and sustainment
• Write functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
• Apply industrial design principles to enhance ergonomics and user experience
• Create and release drawings for scale manufacturing
• Implement customer feedback loops to address emerging challenges
