Senior Hardware Engineer, NPD Hardware

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking an experienced hardware engineering professional to help build next-generation networking platforms for world-class data centers.

Requirements

• BSEE with 5+ years experience in programmable logic design
• Strong logic design skills including state machines, asynchronous/synchronous design, Boolean logic, etc.
• Verilog/SystemVerilog coding skills
• Advanced knowledge of compilation, place and route, timing closure, and programming of CPLDs/FPGAs
• Experience managing vendors on CPLD/FPGA development
• Experience as a project and technical lead with program management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams
• Ability to travel up to 10% to Seattle and Asia

Responsibilities

• Design and develop next-generation Ethernet switching platforms
• Implement custom features in networking products using programmable logic devices
• Work closely with board designers and software engineers
• Support validation team in manufacturing, test, and field support
• Interact with Asian ODM and JDM partners
• Ensure highest safety and security standards for networking products
