Security Assurance Engineer II, Kuiper Security

Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking a self-motivated Security Engineer with strong data governance skills to join the Kuiper External Security Assurance Team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP
• Ability to engage autonomously with product and system owners to resolve security problems
• Ability to weigh security and business risk trade-offs
• Experience with AWS products and services is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of security compliance programs and supply chain management practices

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams on security features and mechanisms
• Influence decision-makers and stakeholders on security matters
• Assess and mitigate security risks across Kuiper's technology and services
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures
• Provide guidance on supply chain security practices
• Participate in setting vision and objectives for security team's work
