Software Development Engineer II, Project Kuiper

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The CICD Team at Kuiper is responsible for building and developing a central test infrastructure service that supports Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one language (Python, GoLang)
• Advanced knowledge of the AWS stack (DynamoDB, IAM roles & permission management, Lambdas, EC2 instances, CloudWatch, MQTT, API Gateways)
• Ability to navigate high levels of ambiguity, design flexible solutions, and deliver results

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop backend services to support HIL testing
• Implement scalable and flexible solutions for distributed systems and software deployment
• Manage Docker containers to deploy services both locally and in the cloud
• Provide internal teams with both Local and Cloud-based service instances to execute Pytest and report results via a UI
• Participate in all phases of software development, from design to implementation
• Work with embedded software teams to ensure smooth integration with low-level systems
