Senior Optical Manufacturing Engineer, Project Kuiper

Job Description

Project Kuiper is looking for a Senior Optical Manufacturing Engineer to lead Optical Head Assembly production development for their satellite constellation initiative aimed at increasing global broadband access.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
• Experience with Opto-mechanical systems, space flight hardware production, and Lean manufacturing practices
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis Techniques
• Experience in developing functional specifications and test procedures

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes
• Serve as primary technical interface to development team for Optical Head Assembly
• Support operations team in solving technical issues and quality containments
• Own the capacity increase roadmap for production
