System Development Engineer, CIA Connectivity Services

Job Description

Amazon Operations Technology is seeking an experienced System Development Engineer to join the CIA Connectivity Services team in Austin, TX. The role involves solving challenging problems and developing scalable solutions for Amazon Stores and FC networks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Responsibilities

• Develop simple and efficient technology for Fulfillment Centers and Transportation Sites
• Work on a variety of technologies and projects ranging from third party enterprise solutions to open source and proprietary inventions
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and solutions to complex business problems
• Focus on automation of complex tasks to scale with customer demand
