Data Engineer, Data Center Engineering Analytics

Job Description

Amazon is looking for a highly analytical Data Engineer to join the AWS Data Center Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, intense curiosity, and strong technical skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• 3+ years of SQL experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements and develop scalable data infrastructure
• Build mechanisms for retrieving and aggregating operational data from the AWS fleet
• Provide continuous recommendations for using data to solve business problems
• Take ownership of data reliability and performance optimization
• Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis
