Network Development Engineer, Enterprise Network Engineering

Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join the Backbone Enterprise and Regional Engineering team responsible for sustaining and scaling next-generation IP networks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in network-focused technical roles in large-scale data center or WAN environments
• Experience in IP routing protocols/technologies and platforms
• Experience in developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms for IP networks
• Experience with automation via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python programming
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, Server Load Balancing, Network Security architecture, and core technologies

Responsibilities

• Design and develop network solutions to meet business and customer requirements
• Lead network projects in areas such as deployment, scaling, technology refresh, and optimization
• Operate and troubleshoot network routing, inter-connectivity, platforms, and configurations issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fast roll-out of new designs and products
• Create and review documentation regarding network implementation, recurring issues, and new standard operating procedures
