Job Description

Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Data Center Chief Engineer in charge of maintaining and operating critical infrastructure systems in some of the world's most advanced data centers.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in a relevant field (electrical, mechanical)
• 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Act as primary escalation point for facilities-related issues
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshooting within SLAs
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
• Create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operations Technicians and Chief Engineers
• Assist in build-out of new facilities and projects to increase efficiency
• Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience
• Work with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects and optimize plant safety and performance
• Ensure safety procedures are followed by staff
• Establish building performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on facility operations
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other tools for day-to-day tasks
