Security Engineer II, Dedicated Security Team

Job Description

Amazon is seeking Security Engineers with exceptional technical depth in one or more security domains to help secure the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
• 2+ years of any combination of threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively at multiple levels of management and engineering
• Identify and drive continuous process improvements at unprecedented scale
• Support and deliver scalable security solutions across diverse subsidiary networks
• Demonstrate and promote security best practices
• Perform threat modeling and turn that into actionable plans to reduce risk
• Conduct pre-acquisition security due diligence interviews
• Create post-close secure integration roadmaps for new acquisitions
• Identify the need for and evaluate security tooling, support the development of new tools and managed services
