Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, WHS Data

Job Description

Amazon is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join their Workplace Health and Safety Data team. The role involves providing reporting solutions to drive workplace safety and regulatory compliance worldwide.

Requirements

• 5+ years of SQL experience
• Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
• Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance, or equivalent quantitative field

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for complex and ambiguous problems
• Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations for senior leadership
• Identify opportunities and key criteria to drive analytical reporting and business strategy
• Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders to shape effective metric development and reporting
• Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activities to have maximum scale and self-service ability by stakeholders
• Partner with Data Engineering team to enhance data infrastructure, availability, and access to customer insights
• Develop and drive best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
