Thermal Design Engineer, Project Kuiper (Satellites)

Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking a Thermal Design Engineer to work on the thermal design solutions for satellites and customer terminals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience with thermal analysis software
• 1+ year experience with test planning and set-up
• 1+ year of experience in development or selection of thermal control hardware
• 1+ year experience with thermal simulation software and programming

Responsibilities

• Support extensive architectural trades with preliminary thermal analysis
• Perform detailed analysis of Bus and Payload subsystems
• Develop automated scripts for rapid analysis updates
• Design, analyze, and select heat pipes for components
• Define and execute test setups for thermal testing
• Document trades and design evolution
• Support thermal design for terrestrial equipment
