Data Center Chief Engineer, DCC Communities

Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join their Data Center Engineering Operations Team to ensure the data center's MEP operates at 100% availability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 5+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience
• Experience leading a team
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

• Management and leadership of DCEO Engineering Team
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations
• Responsible for on-site management of shift technicians, sub-contractors and vendors
• Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency services on critical systems
• Data Center capacity planning and reporting
• Work with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects
• Responsible for asset and inventory management
• Respond to out of hours emergency calls-first level escalation point for Data Center facilities related issues/failures
