Senior Security Engineer, Research and Automation

Job Description

Join us in building and scaling security for the largest global cloud provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS). Drive operational excellence by creating processes, procedures, and automation to enhance efficiency in incident response tasks and projects.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or 10+ years equivalent technology experience
• 5+ years experience building scalable security utilities and tools
• 3+ years experience with web protocols and Linux/Unix tools and architecture
• 3+ years experience in host, network, and application security
• 5+ years experience building automated tools, preferably in Python, Go, and/or Java

Responsibilities

• Create processes, procedures, and automation to improve efficiency in incident response tasks
• Support internal customers and address their needs and issues
• Enhance security stance and operational efficiency through research, metrics, and data analysis
• Drive initiatives for scripting improvements to existing tools and processes
• Provide feedback on new practices and procedures to scale with AWS platform expansion
• Improve incident response within the security space
