Senior Software Development Engineer, AWS EC2

Job Description

Join the AWS EC2 Networking team in Herndon, VA as an experienced engineer to work on core software supporting the massive AWS cloud.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Develop core EC2 network virtualization systems
• Engage in all parts of the software development lifecycle from defining to testing new features
• Participate in on-call responsibilities every 2-3 months
• Perform code reviews, support own code in production, and ship code daily
• Support new team members and encourage curiosity
