Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer, Field Engineering

Job Description

Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer responsible for full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, troubleshooting, design upgrades, and audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering
• Experience with data centers, power generation, oil/gas facilities
• Valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and critical equipment reviews
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades and solutions
• Interface with internal teams to promote consistency and reliability
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers
• Initiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects
