Software Development Engineer, Kuiper Avionics Test Engineering

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a software development engineer to work on the Project Kuiper initiative, which aims to provide broadband connectivity to underserved communities through a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites. The role involves developing software for automated hardware test execution and collaborating with spacecraft design and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Experience with setup, control, and automation of hardware
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust

Responsibilities

• Develop software for automated hardware test execution in collaboration with design and operations teams
• Develop automation software for lab equipment
• Support development and deployment of test systems
• Provide operational support for software used in development and production testing
