Job Description

AWS is seeking a Data Center Structural Engineer to join its design team in Herndon, Virginia, responsible for designing resilient, cost-effective Data Centers worldwide.

Requirements

• United States Citizenship Required
• ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
• 7+ years experience in structural design for industrial or commercial projects
• 5+ years of Data Center, Mission Critical Facility, Hospital, School, or highly complex Commercial Tower facility design experience

Responsibilities

• Design prototypical DC facilities, provide technical guidance, review milestone drawings, solve large scale implementation issues
• Responsible for structural design requirements, review and evaluate constructability of new technologies
• Communicate design standards to internal and external project partners, manage multiple projects simultaneously
