Systems Development Engineer, Tech Deploy- Systems Integration

Job Description

Amazon is looking for a Systems Development Engineer to be part of their Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team, responsible for developing and delivering world-class fulfillment systems through advanced technology.

Requirements

• 2+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Unix/Linux experience and scripting in Bash, Zsh, or similar
• Experience in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
• Experience developing web-based applications using AWS services or alternative cloud-based services
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices
• Familiarity with control systems like PLC/IPC based controls design

Responsibilities

• Support installation of complex cross-functional projects
• Contribute to project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules
• Deep dive technical solutions and participate in design reviews
• Communicate project status and synthesize the Voice of Customer
• Build strong working relationships with Fulfillment Center/Sort Center management
• Identify process improvement initiatives and develop cross-functional knowledge
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate cost-effective solutions
• Travel up to 75% throughout North America
