Sr. Software Development Engineer - Kuiper Network Services

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities globally. This Sr SDE role involves leading the technical team in building ground-based traffic processing pipelines for Kuiper's satellite network.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and lead initiatives to build networking functions on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Lead teams in developing code, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for system monitoring
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate infrastructure
• Mentor junior team members, and build reliable and available cloud services for customer connectivity
• Enhance service quality and security features for customers
