System Development Engineer - AWS Networking System Test

Job Description

The System Development Engineer Test role within System Test at Amazon involves developing and testing solutions for networking products that are crucial for Amazon's Cloud Infrastructure.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of network is continually improving
• Develop an integrated, flexible and scalable qualification and regression test system
• Write automated test cases to validate network solutions including performance and scale
• Simulate complex real world network environments to replicate undesirable behaviors and confirm corrections using data/ traffic generation equipment
• Show creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
• Generate hardware and software performance and feature reports
• Organize and archive test data, generate performance characteristics of platforms in various network roles and develop automated framework to compare reports and analysis of alternatives
• Build and maintain expert knowledge regarding trends and technologies in the networking industry, quality assurance, test automation and related fields
