Sr ECAD Application Engineer, Project Kuiper Satellites

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of more than 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit. This position requires a Senior ECAD Tools Application Engineer to provide a stable set of ECAD tools for electrical engineering design for a low earth orbit satellite constellation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
• 5+ years as an Application Engineer for CAD tools such as Mentor Xpedition, Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer
• Experience in Enterprise Tool administration, developing and documenting engineering processes related to ECAD tools and engineering activities

Responsibilities

• Provide a stable, reliable set of Electrical Computer Aided Design (ECAD) tools and database management
• Support users, develop processes, and anticipate tool needs for the low earth orbit satellite constellation
• Work with end users to solve project issues, propose future infrastructure needs, automate processes, and research new tools to increase design rigor and productivity
