Sr. Software Engineer - Digital Twin, Project Kuiper

Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the satellite bus systems team to work on building/integrating algorithms and simulation models for optimizing system performance under dynamic use-cases.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Experience in building and deploying models, statistical analysis, signal processing, simulations, regression, optimization, and data analysis tools
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy digital twin models for hardware systems health tracking
• Perform simulations and predictive analysis for optimizing system performance
• Develop monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure health
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and test infrastructure teams
• Develop cloud native software systems in Python, Java, or another modern language
• Automate operational workflows and build robust APIs
• Lead technical roadmap definition, requirements & feature planning, and performance improvements
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to the team
