Senior Hardware Development Engineer, AWS Server Engineering

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking talented individuals to join the team responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure.

Requirements

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years hardware development with a focus on system/server development in compute and/or storage server architecture and design for large scale applications
• 5+ years experience with design and manufacturing processes
• 5+ years experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in the product development and manufacturing processes
• In-depth expertise in one or more server technologies such as Thermal/Mechanical design, high-speed bus design and signal integrity, failure analysis, server components (e.g. CPU, GPU, SSDs, drives), BIOS, BMC, and networking
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design and development of server products utilizing a wide range of design and manufacturing partners
• Work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and business goals
• Architect solutions at scale by leveraging experience with server design and knowledge of various teams
• Oversee the fleet of servers developed, monitoring their quality and meeting customer requirements
