Senior HW Dev Engineer-Payload, Hardware Development

Job Description

As a Senior Hardware Engineer at Project Kuiper, you will be involved in the development of advanced antenna systems for a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide.

Requirements

• BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of industrial experience especially board level analog/digital design
• 1+ years of experience in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity
• 3+ years of experience in using schematic
• 2+ years of experience using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters
• Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools

Responsibilities

• Design and optimization of different blocks of antenna system
• Design proof of concept systems and prototypes for next-gen antennas
• Collaborate on RF circuitry design with RF team
• Design automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory tests
• Lead and review PCB layout
• Bring-up and conduct test campaigns of active antennas
