Job Description

The Operations Engineer Deployment & Ramp-up role in the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience organization at Amazon involves overseeing multiple products, programs, and projects, and deploying Mechatronics Sustainable Packaging solutions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Technologies, Electrical Engineering, or other STEM field degrees
• Experience supporting deployment of new product/technology and/or large material handling and automation installations in a construction environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical diagrams, and controls logic
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to develop technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Manage the development of project plans and technical solutions
• Influence decisions on deployment and machine performance execution strategy
• Own tactical planning on the installation of complex cross-functional projects
• Own the strategy of the program/product for annual planning of resources and budget
• Own communication of program execution and performance
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, technical program and product managers, and internal customers
