Job Description

Amazon Web Services is looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join their team and work on real-time streaming data solutions with Amazon Kinesis Data Streams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Solving difficult problems, applying appropriate technologies and best practices
• Inventing, designing, and building stable and performant software with the team
• Proficiency in a broad range of design approaches and creating pragmatic solutions
• Considering code legacy, writing understandable code, and limiting short-term workarounds
• Creating flexible software without over-engineering and being efficient with resource usage
