Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking a Product Design Engineer to work on innovative consumer products for the Kuiper program, focusing on mechanical design, testing, and evaluation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in product design
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling & 2D drawing creation
• Experience in designing for high volume manufacturing and assembly processes
• Experience in performing tolerance analysis and statistical analysis techniques

Responsibilities

• Acting as the PD Direct Responsible Individual for multiple system components
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve electromechanical problems
• Identifying key design constraints and priorities
• Delivering robust, flexible, durable, and performant designs
• Communicating effectively with team members, cross-functional teams, and executives
• Focusing on customer needs when solving problems
• Creating scalable solutions while addressing tactical issues
