Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative satellite and ground systems for broadband connectivity.

Requirements

• BSME from ABET accredited university
• 3+ years experience as a mechanical engineer and designer
• 1+ year experience designing electronic enclosures
• Experience with structural engineering analysis methods and tools
• Experience with thermal engineering analysis and tools

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design and layout trade studies for satellite payloads or structures
• Contribute to the overall system architecture
• Perform mechanical design of payloads, structures, electronic enclosures, harnesses, and support equipment
• Conduct or support structural and thermal analysis
• Facilitate cost trades on multiple parallel configurations
• Generate detailed designs via CAD systems
• Deliver well-written documentation, reports, and presentations
• Design and support test campaigns
• Interact directly with customers to understand technical requirements
